BoB Movie latest format release

For those on the cutting edge of technology or those that just want to count rivets on the Spits or stitches on the Hurricane’s fabric, the Battle of Britain movie is now available on Blu-Ray.
Its currently only available as a Play.com exclusive but is part of their “2 for £22” promotion.
I dont know if it retains all the extras found on the standard DVD though as the site dosent list any and I know that the American version of the disc was a “bare bones” release with just the film on it.

Considering that until recently it was fairly comparable in price to standard blu-ray players, a PS3’s a good investment. Explained why the doom-mongering statisticians were saying that blu-ray was suffering ad HD-DVD might fight back due to the lack of Blu-ray players sold at Xmas – one wonders if they had the nouse to have included PS3s in their stats…

HD-DVD is dead – check out the costs of players and movie stock, plus no new titles come through, it was a shrewd move to make the PS-3 a blu-ray, then again they took out the capability to play PS-2 games so people bought new ones, they will always get you……….

PS-3 will also upscale DVD quite nicely and give you a better than DVD picture, but back on thread…… 2 for £22 is not bad so if you can get BoB plus something else you want its got to be worth it.

HD can be a mixed blessing, the clearer the image, the easier it is to see stunt doubles, etc – I needed to adjust my thinking somewhat when viewing, I found I needed to enjoy the quality and not notice such things.

With the Battle Of Britain, the early scenes when the Me-109/Buchons attack the air strip could be spectacular, then later you’ll see the MK-XIX sticking out like a sore thumb, same as the Buchons in the Huricane flight.

Any movie that you love is surely worth having though – my Mrs still hasn’t worked out that I only got the kids a PS-3 so I could have a Blu-ray player !!:diablo:

Worth noting it’s only for pre-order, play.com quoting a release date of 25th May.:)
