Mosquito Sqn arrived this morning but not BOB.

633 Squadron is still a naff film, but the flying sequences + surround sound – the Mosquitoes sound superb:D

Play is a US company with a UK (Jersey) operation. If you order music CD’s from them you only get the US release which is often different from the UK edition. DVD’s you can order in region 1 or 2 versions.

I’ve had my BofB DVD on order a little while, I’ve just checked & My Account information tells me it’s been sent (this could be a mistake?The release date is still says the 20th!). So it may have already been released. Let you know if it comes through the post tomorrow:)

P II, I think Play.com must export to the States, because there a list of countries in the address information, when ordering & the USA is in there. Give a go & see.

I was in a movie store a few weeks ago and I had the guy behind the counter check to see if certain movies are out on DVD or not. I asked about Battle of Britain, and he said it was due to be released sometime later this month or maybe in June here in the States.

That might be different for you guys in Europe though.

I have this on order from play.com. I also have 633 Squdron and Mosquito Squadron which come out on the same day. They are on region 2 but in fullscreen, you have to get region 1 for the widescreen versions.

Comfirmed for 20/5/2003 on region1 but no sign of release for uk punters just yet!

Unfortunately MGM has no plans atm to release it on DVD
They might change their mind if enough people request it though

I asked my girlfriend about this, she works as the researcher on BBC4’s ‘DVD Collection’. She can’t find it on any forthcoming release schedules she has, but does say it’s scheduled for another VHS re-release on the 3rd of December.

BoB DVD from Amazon.com £44 ish (3 days to deliver) 5 discs (episodes) plus 6th disc for loads of extras.

I’m a DD Video Club Member & I’ve not seen any mention of BofB on DVD in any of the DD Video catalogues, yet. If & when it’s released, you can all be sure I’ll post it on this site.

There’s a couple of BOB documentaries and the TV drama series available on DVD through Play and Amazon at the moment.

ahh i thought it was here i saw it. i just cant find it listed anywhere, on the “coming soon” pages of any of the main suppliers.

I ask the same question a while back and A330 Crazy informed me its out for xmas so i;ve already put the mince pie and glass of beer out for Santa can’t wait!:P

i dont think its out yet..i have heard it’s ment to come out befor xmass, dont know how true it is..you can get it on vid, ( got my copy from HMV £5.99!!!) not in 16:9 though. with any luck if it comes out on DVD it may have the making of the movie on it, as i would love to see that. also be good if it has a “directors cut” as well, as i think there is loads of extra footage that was not used in the original.
