Reading through a 25 year old magazine just now and in the letters to the editor section Bob Trickett said he was building a Misle-Thrush and an Avro 504. I have not heard anything more, does anyone know if he is still working on them or what happened to them or if he is still going?

Sorry about my mistake re Missel Thrush spelling in my post Sabrejet and thank you for your reply also thanks avion ancien for your replies, I daresay job and address changes would make quite an impact on any aircraft building and also the range of different projects such as the Sopwith Snipe aswell . Talk about spreading yourself thin eh? Thanks again

From Motor Sport, November 1997;
‘Some aeroplanes for a change. A reader who is constructing a replica of the 1926 ANEC Missel Thrush using original drawings and some original parts is seeking additional drawings, photos of the airframe and a spare Blackburne Thrush engine, or any similar light aeroplanes that are available. Any letters can be forwarded.’

I think “Misle-Thrush” would be the ANEC Missel Thrush. IIRC there was a new-build on the cards a while back.

….. and in the SVAS journal, Prop-Swing, of Spring 2017, it is mentioned that:
‘I’m sure you’ve been wondering how Bob Trickett is getting on with his Sopwith
Snipe – we haven’t heard from him for a while. Well, he’s just told me that since his
last progress report he’s changed his job twice and moved house three times. There’s
nothing like having a stable base when you’re building an aeroplane, is there.’

There is a gentleman of that name who on 15 October last was offering an Avro 504N rudder bar for sale on facebook (q.v. https://www.facebook.com/groups/282496192382341/)
