I mean’t that particular picture because I think I’ve seen it before (:

Oppps, sorry. I believe my photos were uploaded by AirNikon at one time about a decade ago but they don’t appear to be on Airliners.net now. 🙂

You’ve got an excellent memory for stuff, Joe!

That pic of Gatwick brings back memories of coach trip’s , getting there at daft o’clock and sitting in the cafe waiting for the terraces to open.
Mind you they used to do a very good full breakfast.

As did the one on the Queens Terminal roof at LHR. I used to go from Cambridge to Heathrow on my Yamaha FS1E, and later my RD250, and that was before the M25 was around! I would not dare do that trip on a motorcycle today! Worth it though, for a day on that terrace.

VeeOne can you please stop posting all these images from the 80’s 😀 especially the ones from Gatwick.
seriously i am in danger of getting nostalgia overload here!!:)

Many thanks for posting all of them they bring back a lot of memories. i’ll take old B747’s and DC-10’s et al over any of this modern twin engined 7*7,Airbus lookylikey things

Me too, Stangman!
I was going to post some DC-10 photos next and I noticed when sorting them out there were nice BCAL ones, including BCAL Charter and also a Korean AL DC-10.

Here is a quick pic for you showing the wide-body Gatwick at its best (not the weather though!).
