Boeing F4B/ XF6B

hi all,

i am in urgent need of a detailed walkround or parts manual of the tail section of either of these two aircraft, items needed are the rudder control horn and the mounting brackets for the bracing wires.
also are the rudder control wires actually wires or are they rods, the photos i have they look like they could be either.

here is the drawing of this section,

any help would be most appreciated.

hi guys,
thanks for the tips, the xf6b was a development of the f4b, so i am assuming that item like this will be the same.
Smithsonian! that rings a bell, i am sure one of my members is something to do with the archive section there, all i have to do is remember who 🙁

Have you tried e-mailing the Smithsonian?

I sent them a question last year and, after an acknowledgement, got a reply about two weeks later.

Hello,

It might not be of any help to you, there is a book:

‘Flying the P-12’ by S.L. Wallick.

It has some technical pictures in it.

You might know about the book, only looked through it once, looked interesting.

The details you are looking for might be the same as on the F4B.
