Boeing KC97L to be restored to airworthiness

In the guestbook of the Propliner website a guy called Jim from a non-profit Foundation in Noo Joisey USA says they own a Boeing KC97L which they aim to restore to flying status. When this welcome event is to happen we will have to wait for further news from New Jersey.

That would make at least two flying C-97s. The Berlin Airlift Foundation has one but I don’t think they’ve flown it much.
Most of their work is on their C-54.

Also Clay Lacy bought a KC-97 at the hawkins & Powers auction. I hear it will be flown to Seattle and converted to Stratocruiser specs. I don’t know if it will fly after that or go into the Museum of Flight.
