Note the comment that the first three 787 airframes will have no commercial value due to the amount of modifications although that doesn’t explicitly appear in the Boeing investor’s statement.
There is an additional $2.5Bn reclassification of costs for the first three 787s and $138M worth of spending carried out on them in August and September which might be where the no commercial value comes from…

I’m not surprised, given the B787 problems.
I trust Boeing will get things sorted out, but the aircraft’s gestation seems to be proving very troublesome (and, expensive).
