Yup it is true or at least i hear. The company are bringing it back named the 300 series and should carry 215 passengers over 8,400km.
This distance would be good for FRA-ORD it would have the range. This would be good as i have never seen a 727 in its flesh only in magazines.

Oh, and I heard that it wasn’t the 727 that was going to be brought back but the 707. I swear!;)
Best News I’ve heard all week ! !
While they’re at it, Boeing, for nostalgia’s sake, should go ahead and bring back the 377 Stratocruiser.
I’m, of course, awaiting the return of the rigid airship (with helium this time around:):) )……

Pac 10 took care of the Big 11 this year. If SC plays anyone from the Large 10 next season, we’ll take care of them again. 😎

Ewww, no way. Big 10 (11) all the way. 🙂

Depends whether Boeing shut down the 767 line before 7E7 deliveries and need something for the interim. 😀

There are also a few United 737s/319s and AirTran 717s.
I’ve already been initiated (forcibly) into the attractions of Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians (Not football, I know).
Does anyone think I’ll be far enough away from Manchester to start supporting Manchester United? 😉

I apologise for my long absence. I returned home (Cyprus). I have completed my studies for receiving the MSc Air Transport Management. Recently, I made the minor corrections that my thesis needed and I am awaiting for the last assesment results.
I am home yet I am unemployed. I knew it would be difficult to get a job related to air transport market it is very limited in Cyprus. However, there is still hope.
I was surfing the internet I decided to pay a visit to my old friends here at forum! My absence was long, but I am back at the forum.
Kind Regards

Elias, where have you been?
By: Cyprioteagle - 1st March 2004 at 17:15
People…
Only the romantics of the B727 era will dream for such a resurrection. B727-300?? a three engine aircraft? Why bother?
B777 family, A330 family and soon B7e7 family and previously B757/767 families (two-engine aircraft) were and are equipped with ETOPS which allows them to operate atlantic services. Therefore there is no need for a three engine aircraft anymore!
And correctly it was stated that the B757 was created to replace the B727!

SORRY MATE NO WAY!! Boeing are struggling as it is, and producing the 727-300 would put them even further in financial mess, cos i went to Chicago in the summer, got their annual report, and the only aicraft which is thought of been developed if the 777-300ER (which is out) and the 7E7. Nothing else mate 😉
