Boeing Washington B1

When I lived at RAF Waddington while the Washingtons were stationed there, I only ever saw them in natural finish.

iirc, natural was the normal finish, but some had ex-USAF black. Check it in the above.

I’ve got a couple of pics I’ll add to the ‘1952’ thread in due course.

I can add that I can’t recall seeing a picture of a camouflaged Washington, and from what pix I have seen the tones looked fairly constant across the airframe – but that could be due to weathering, etc.

Well I could but all my Washington stuff is in storage (those who know me know the saga, should play out today hopefully).

However to throw a Balrog in the woodpile I believe at least two had black undersides from their service in the USAF.

My guess is natural Metal.
