Hi all,
Recently picked up lot of BofB Hurri items, all identified and squared away except one….
It is a cockpit instrument, fair condition, with part of the dial remaining….. On the dial I can make out figures that range from 820, rising in increments of 20, to 960. That is about 3/4 of the complete face.
It measures approx 3″ across and has lots of internal workings – looking similar to a clock.
Can anyone help me identify which instrument this is please!?!
Mike.

Tony,
That’s great, many thanks. That thought did cross my mind as nothing else would involve figures of those values… But looking at some cockpit photos on the net, I couldn’t spot it!!
Mystery solved!
Having a bit of a sort out at the moment so if I turn spare bits up, I will get in touch.
Regards

Andy,
Will post a picture in the morning, will have to take one and transfer across.
Any input then, would be much appreciated!

Hi Mike, it is the insides of an altimeter the figures you quote are the millibars scale for setting airfield pressure setting or sea level pressure (QNH, QFE) or indeed 1013mb for pressure altitude…if you have any spare bits please send me a pm….as I am till doing my project…cheers Tony
