It amazes me how folks have this misconception that canada is littered with warbirds from coast to coast.. there gone guys, if not picked over by the major musuems, what little was left has been scrapped, I have met many people across this country that have told us especially out west and the prairies about metal salvage companys driving around the farms offering to clear out old metal scrap cars plane parts etc for money.
CWH has their boly project and thats it no spare airframes sitting around anywhere.. nanton has some smaller parts but the majority have found new homes…
That picture posted above is also gone now safe into a private collection fo use as parts to rebuild a complete aircraft.

Canada would be your best bet.
Years ago I had been in contact with Vince O’ Connor about a Bolingbroke cockpit he had surplus. I had an option on it for a very reasonable figure but the shipping costs and Canadian Heritage rules made me back out of it.
Still there are many airframes lying around (CWH, Nanton etc.)
Would make a nice project.
Cheers
Cees

This one is at the Bomber Command Museum of Canada, formerly, the Nanton Lancaster Museum, at Nanton Alberta, Canada.

Splutter….
I’d like to think that the removed one from G-BPIV at DX will be faithfully converted into an electric estate car in due course, once the MK1 is finished…:D
Roob, I’ve just spat tea all over my computer keyboard – thank you very much….! 😀
