If you log onto You Tube (http://www.youtube.com) and type “Bristol Bolingbroke” into your search engine then the only result that appears is a few minutes of Technicolour footage of Bristol Bolingbrokes. The clips come from the 1945 film “Laddie – Son of Lassie”.
The technical quality of this footage is incredible. It looks as if it was shot yesterday and the the special effects (cockpit shots, engine fire ,flak bursts) look better than similar shots in “633 Squadron” made nearly 20 years later.
Enjoy!

Just to clarify things slightly, all Mk.IV Blenhiems were originally going to be named Bolingbrokes. Somewhere along the way the idea was dropped at Bristol, but the documents issued to Fairchild had the Bolingbroke name all over them so the name stuck in Canada.

I have watched this fabulous video a number of times, believe the base is Patricia Bay? in BC. Yes in response to LimaN, Fairchild Aircraft built the Blenheim under license and changed the name to Bolingbroke, 677 were built in Canada of which 51 were “spare” airframes, 14 aircraft were fitted with P&W 825hp Twin Wasp Junior engines as the Mercury engine was thought to be in short supply. The first Boly was taken on charge by the RCAF on November 15,1939, the bulk of Fairchild Bolies were MkTs for Training in the BCATP schools and subsequently scrapped and abandoned after the war, Darrell
Thanks Bolyman It cleared things up a bit:D.

I read that the Canadian Blenheim wad build by Farchild and was also called Farchild Bollingbroke. Is this correct???
