The cockpit does look good inside except for seat and control wheel. Anyone sitting on one at home looking at a control wheel on their shelf?

Looks like the centre wing section has been sliced in three, and the front third of the rear fuselage is still attached. So its been sliced in all the wrong places, probably just for quick transportation. There isn’t a great deal you can do with it, apart from restore what you’ve got there, so it could make a good trailer mounted exhibit. Still, cockpit appears to be more intact than most I’ve seen (can we have that control column?). I believe those the the bomb bay doors lined up at the start, nice to have those. It would be nice to see more photos or video!!

The records are out of date now and all of the better condition airframes having been recovered by museums with only the occasional airframe relic around such as this.

Pete,

Any idea how many of these Bolingbrokes (or any other ‘yellow’ aircraft) are still lying around Canada ? Is there a documented list or survey of all the Lysanders, Swordfish, Annies etc, etc….?

Yes that is the same one. Sadly the rear fuselage was missing but the cockpit was fairly complete. It was purchased surplus from Macdonaldd Manitoba after the war.

Yes, there is. Would make a nice restoration project. Even if the wings and tail are not there.
Any info on the airframe?
Cheers
