Transport Canada and EASA have awarded type certification to Bombardier for its latest derivative of the CRJ regional jet, the 100-seat CRJ1000 NextGen.

There are currently 49 CRJ1000 type aircraft on order, Air Nostrum (Spain) will be the launch customer, and deliveries are expected to begin early 2011.
