bomber fighter feasibility

B-1R used as a fighter at around 14 minutes in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjyJT9wAaWY

with long-range all-round sensor coverage ala AWACs, high speed and supercruise, huge payload, intercontinental combat radius, would such bomber fighters be feasible? 😮

with 3D thrust vectoring and a suitable design, they can be extremely agile too 😎

I propose a North Star AWAC-type sensor design, consisting of 8 sensors mounted in the shape of a 4-pointed star. Each point is triangular and has 2 straight slab-shaped outer sides, with the left outer side being an AESA and the right outer side being an IRST. Since RAM works by absorbing radar waves and converting them into heat, once RAM is shone with AESA they would turn hot making them easy to spot with large long-range IRST.
