I am hoping someone from this forum can help me identify and possibly find a home for a bombing device in my possession. I had been told it was from a Mossie but I haven’t been able to find anything to support this theory. any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello alfa55
Sorry I cannot identify your part! But it looks as though Alan has sorted you out.
Cees,
you must persuade Mark G to send you some photos of his mosi fuselage slice incorporating his panels. It really is a magnificent piece of work! 😀 And just for reference, the fuselage mould technique has worked out very well, info has been passed to Mark, and I’m awaiting its first flight sometime next year!! :p

Would anyone have pics of it in place in a Mossie, from pilots notes or some such source?

Mark,
Are you still working on a Mossie panel?
Cheers
Cees
Hi Cees, yes I am. The project has grown slightly into a fuselage ‘slice’ that encompasses the nose/pedal box – instrument panel – throttle box – control column – windscreen area. I’m working on the interior stuff at present but will then construct the actual fuselage shell using the proper ply/balsa/ply sandwich method. I’m waiting for a certain Mr. Collins to perfect the technique on his Hornet before I start.:p
It’s about 70% complete at present and I’m desperately trying to get enough finished to display at Cockpitfest in a few weeks time. I could do with another month really though!

I can certainly give it a good home if it’s looking for one?

Yes, it’s the starboard panel from the bomb-aimer’s position in the nose of a Mosquito.
The sixteen switch bomb selector box is central, with the bomb distributor below it, and a camera control box to it’s right.
Lovely piece, I’ve got one just like it out in the garage!
