Bombs from 1940s – help needed

I don’t know anything about bombs. I found this photo in my late father’s affairs. He was in the RAF as an LAC 1940-1945, but working on instruments rather than bombs. So can anyone tell me what these are, and where might it be? There seems to be a motley set of uniforms too. Why could that be? It just doesn’t look like an RAF station to me.
Thanks

The three on the left look like civilians.

I wonder if “Ce*nturion” reads this. They are British by the way, the “thingies”

Thanks redhill. Any ideas about the rough uniforms? Just a hard day’s work? The three on the left seem to have very dark overalls.

Difficult to scale but they look like British 500ib bombs, also an SBC or “Small Bombs Container” in the background, a lot of bomber airfield boundaries came very close to farm land so it could just be an outer dispersal or something like that.
