Ive never felt the need to start a thread on the General Discussion board but now I do.
Not only are the Bond Posters for Quantum of Solace possibly the worst Bond posters Ive ever seen (most upsetting, especially as Im a Cinema Manager and I was hoping to take a few home) but Ive just heard the theme to the latest film.
Is there anybody that likes it? IMHO its bloomin awful. The worst ever.

Lets hope the film is up to scratch and on a par with the fantastic Casino Royale.
Rant over. Thank you for your attention. :p

I know I am probably alone when I say this, judging by some of the comments above, but I really do like it….but maybe that is because I like Jack White/White Stripes and Alicia Keys in their separate musical roles.
Its modern, trendy and isn’t named after the title of the film like most other Bond film scores were back in the day, and is just what the film needs, this is Bond in the 21st century after all!
As for a bit of related humour, I quite like this video:

The oh so British humour has gone, so the film can be understood by the nation with the money.
China?

Yep, the song is indeed poo.
It’s trendy Rap, and all Rap music has a silent C.
Bond is no longer Bond. The oh so British humour has gone, so the film can be understood by the nation with the money.
The action now has to be OTT and there has to be lots of death.
I liked Bond for the humour and Britishness, it set it above the rest. Now it’s just another action film, so may as well watch the king, Mr Segal.

Good song cant see the problem. Mind you Jack White is an aquired taste and i wouldn’t have paired him with Alicia Keys normally, but the song works. To be honest iv’e a bigger problem with the stupid tite of the film.:)
I have not heard the song yet but I agree with stangman about the stupid title!:(
I went to the movies last night and saw the poster for the first time, it’s not up to scratch….. it’s dead boreing,:(

McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” was a brilliant satire of the genre.
It was a satire wasn’t it, Paul?
(With him it’s often hard to tell…:diablo:)
The only things that date bond films as much as the women’s hair, makeup and clothes are the songs.
They hire whoever is “hot” at the moment.

I like it. Nice odd combination of Jack White’s tendency for annoisance and Alicia Keys easy-to-digest-jazzy-stuff-always-works-well-with-the-Ikea-crowd.
There have been far, far, far worse ones. A-ha? Duran Duran? Those sucked. And as awful as ‘Goldeneye’ (sorry Tina, you retired too late)… shudder!

Amy Winehouse could have made great noise!
Doesn’t she do that anyway?! :diablo:

IMHO it all went wrong after shirley.
But the worst bond theme has to be duran duran.

I take it you’re not keen on the new Bond film theme then, Phantom Phixer?
There is something to be said for unambiguity.
