Bonfire night Dakota flights!

Hi all!

Blatant plug time I’m afraid, but for a very special experience. Air Atlantique Classic Flight are running Dakota pleasure flights on the 4th and 5th of November at Coventry airport:

Tickets for a ground tour only cost £10, the event runs from 1700 until 2000 on Sunday and Monday night!

Coventry Airport… ….. It’s only saving grace is the relatively cheap flights available from there. kev35

and, if the local “rag” is to be believed, has the best passenger throughput times in the country – do I remember the article saying the average time per passenger queueing/through security is 3 minutes??

They got a good ground to air of Rockets as the Dak skirted around the edge of Bulikington last year :dev2: . the DC 3 overflew our display just off Shilton lane heading for finals back to Coventry .
tell the crew to do the same again this year please.

Coventry Airport West is the side of the airfield where you get to see some magnificent aircraft, such as those of the Classic Flight fleet plus numerous others both old and modern. To me, it is the real side of the airfield where the original terminal was. Passenger flights now fly from the other side of the airfield from a prefabricated terminal and an arrivals hall that is nothing more than a large shed. It’s only saving grace is the relatively cheap flights available from there.
