It is NOT TRUE that UnderAir requires a prospective candidate to prove proficiency at flying a 747 inverted under the Golden Gate Bridge … you can choose your own bridge anywhere in the world.

On the BAV webiste it says:

Do not worry if you do not pass the test.
Just make another application via the website and you will be allowed a re-test.
If you do not pass on the second occasion, then perhaps a two-month “study period” is required.

If you do not complete the test within 7 days of receiving it, then your application will be removed.

So make a new application to join you should be able to try the test again.

This entrance test is -in some ways- a good thing. Before there were HUGE waiting lists (as there is only space for 1000 members). You get to try the tests again mate. If it were about a year ago, you’d have to wait around 6 months or more to get it.

As i joined in Feb 2003, there was not test, so i have no clue whats the care regarding a re-take. 😮

as some of you know, I have applied to fly for BAV. I sat my entrance test…and I failed. I needed 17/20 and I got 15/20. 🙁 I’m annoyed

Ah well better luck next time mate!

We do need pilots why know what they are doing, i’m sure you do know what you are doing….i’m not saying….oh damn put myself into a hole here 😀

What does the test entail? can you send me it? sounds very interesting, unfortunately I can’t join up as my VA won’t allow the management join another VA, we’ll get booted if they found out
