Hope to head up that way at the end of the week [yeah – I have seen the weather] for a bimble around and wanted to take some history to read…

Cheers

Thanks everyone for the replies – much appreciated!

Newforest – by an amazing coincidence I had ordered that particular copy this morning – it was the cheapest one on abebooks – won’t go to the pub for a few nights!

I suspect ISBN numbers did not exist in 1967?

SBN (UK only) 1966 -1974. The I(nternational)S(tandard)B(ook)N(umber) became an ISO standard in 1970.

What? You’ve nodded off? But there’s the new exciting 13 digit ISBN to come!

My coat? But it wan’t a joke…

Hi Ian,

Here are a few more details. Copyright is EE Fresson 1963, first published 1967 by David Rendel Ltd. In the back of my copy it has a label indicating – ‘PSEUDO ISBN 7777032240’. It is an ex-library copy so this may only be an internal reference. I suspect ISBN numbers did not exist in 1967?

Yours

Tom
