I was bored so I went onto A.net to see if, on the off chance, there are any photos listed as taken on the day I was born: April 10 1980
Intriguingly, I found 3.

Some of these pictures make the past look longer ago than it feels ? I guess it’s down to the relative clarity of one’s memories versus the relatively grainy and inexpensive film stocks many ‘enthusiasts’ used back then ?
On the day these pictures were taken, I was just about through with my 2nd year of college and about to embark upon a ‘gap year’ (better known as a year off, then) working in Iceland.

It’s alright for you lads you’re all babies..i don’t think A Net goes back far enough for me 22nd February 1950
Wish I felt like a baby… Buuuuurp !!!:D
I looked up Newcastle Airport, which had been open for 15 years when you were born and was becoming popular with locals flying to places like Jersey and the Isle of Man for their holidays.
I’m guessing there would have been a DC-3 or two around, the odd Constellation, De Havilland Dove/Heron etc etc… ???

None for my specific date (20th) either but then there aren’t that many for the month (October 1961). This is the closest and as luck would have it was taken at Prestwick:

This one just might have been on the day – there is a 1/31 chance at any rate which is good enough for me:

Well I was born 19th December 1970, and there’s nowt available for the actual date, but a few things came close like this lovely BEA hybrid livery Vickers Viscount.
The Pan Am ‘Clipper Maid of the Seas’ 741 (N739PA) was eighteen years old when it exploded over Lockerbie just two days after I myself turned eighteen, and KLM’s first ever 747 (PH-BUA), entered service in December 1970, the picture shows it just before it got canned after finishing up in America West service in 1996.
There was also a great looking Boeing B-17 conducting aerial surveys in the Algerian desert around the time of my birth… One or two other Dec ’70 highlights included here.

I’m not bored, but did it anyway.
Interestingly, I found a series of photos taken at Manchester Airport on the 13 July 1987.
Interesting because it just happens to be the airport that I work at now. I think some of the photos were even taken from the very same building that I work in (tower block/control tower). Coincidence? I think not…
