Boris talks rubbish

Capping bonuses for bankers will result in them running off to Switzerland said Boris…

Interesting what happens when the populance are informed and empowered.

Not the British way tho, far too federal and lacking in direction from the daily fail, torygraph, gruadian or current bun.
Far better to stick with what we’ve got, Boris knows best…:p

have terms dictated to us by a political group who aspire to the same uncontested wealth that the bankers have, but also directly regulate our lives.

So the Swiss populance are a “political group” in your world. Interesting.

Could the same be said of the less than enthusiastic with regard to the EU?

Can i then make use of the term and semi quote you as in:

“I don’t want to have terms dictated to me by a “political group” who aspire to the same uncontested wealth that the bankers have, but also directly regulate our lives through such dis-reputable organs as the current bun, daily fail and torygraph, oh and their lapdogs ukip.”

How was Niges din dins with bob btw?

From the man himself

My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.

As do those arch-Socialists and EU groupies, the Swiss.

You really haven’t thought this one through, have you? 🙂

I wasn’t talking about the Swiss, although perhaps I should have said ‘British Europhiles’

I might also suggest that perhaps what the Swiss want is not in the best interests of the UK?

I’m not siding with the bankers, my description of them would include several expletives, but I’d rather them carry on as usual than have terms dictated to us by a political group who aspire to the same uncontested wealth that the bankers have, but also directly regulate our lives.

Its funny how the Europhiles main argument for a federal Europe is UK business and Economics, yet the same people demand huge restrictions on the salaries in our largest Industry!

Bankers wages do need some kind of reform, but only as much as those of Footballers and politicians. MPs expenses are a more pressing issue IMO.

Harsher regulation of risky investment banking is the key.

Really? I reckon he talks a great deal of sense here – http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/9906445/This-cap-on-bankers-bonuses-is-like-a-dead-cat-pure-distraction.html

And remember that he spent 5 years in Brussels as the DT’s European Community Correspondent, so he has had a good immersion in the EU at frontline level.
