I wondered if anyone on here ever met, or worked with Richard on aircraft maintenance?
He started with the FAA, and later spent about 20 years at Boscombe Down and I know he was well thought of and respected there. He once told me about a complete rewire on a Vulcan which took place there, this would probably have been in the late 1970s or 80s, which surprised me.
Still later, he worked for Bristows for a few years.
Richard passed away recently and I was amazed at the list of about 40 types he had maintained during his career, read out by his son at the funeral service.
Typically, I wish I had learned more from him while he was here, as is often the case.
