Probably nearly 20 years ago i read and saw pics of a Boston/A20 recovered pretty intact and in good condition somewhere in the pacific, a good few years later i am sure i read and it seemed that this recovery was going to end up in RAF Hendon at some point?. Was i imagining things or is it still on going? the same was said about an IL2 Sturmovik?

It says on the link that “Big Nig” was swapped for a Spitfire. Does anyone know which one?

Don’t know about 20 years ago although that might be about when it was recovered but the former USAAF A-20 “Big Nig” was recovered as part of the RAAF’s Boston rebuild project. The end result was two well restored aircraft – “Jessica” and “Hell’n Pelican II” (or something like that).
The last I heard “Big Nig” was under restoration at Precision in Wangaratta and was destined for the RAFM.
