”The Flypast, scheduled for the 15th September 2015 will see 35 Spitfires and Hurricanes from the UK, USA and Europe flying in formation from Boultbee Flight Academy’s base at Goodwood over the areas of the UK most affected by the fierce aerial combat that took place during the Battle of Britain.
The two wounded servicemen who are currently training at the Academy as part of the Spitfire Scholarship will also take part in the Flypast which commemorates those brave pilots who defended Britain’s shores in 1940 inspiring Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s iconic speech ‘The Few’.”
16 Spits flew at DX a few years ago, but this would be a formation TWICE the size !
