… really bloody expensive for us non MAN folk who would visit it and stay the day.

There’s no reduction for Mancs, you know! 🙂

Also the viewing balcony at the control tower (free) is excellent, they have the occasional flyin see http://www.cityairportltd.com it beats the runway viewing park every day…

It’s a bit of a let-down when it comes to photographing airliners and biz jets, though. :p

To be fair Tartan, I don’t think those prices are too bad actually…£2.50 for up to 6hrs is far cheaper than what the multi-storey at the terminals would have charged, and they are obviously going to offer cheap prices to encourage people to stay longer throughout the day (and who wouldn’t with the current weather we have?!). Obviously if you are only going for an hour or less then £1 does seem a bit of a rip-off!

Sorry, forgot to say, nice pics by the way.;)

Thanks again chaps.
As T5 says it was a wee dig at the AVP’s new pricing structure… really bloody expensive for us non MAN folk who would visit it and stay the day.

The prices they’re charging now are ridiculous, be interesting to see how they fare during the lean winter months when all their custom (mostly) is spotters & photographers – get yourself Southside 🙂

Yes, that’s his point. He is suggesting that Manchester consider offering parking at similar prices. The viewing park at Manchester hiked the parking charges for cars up not too long ago; £3 for up to 1 hours stay, £6 for up to 2 hours stay, £9 for up to 3 hours stay and £12 for over 3 hours stay.

From http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsf/Content/ConcordeVisiting

Super shots! 🙂

Lets hope the Guppy is saved.
What are Multyflight doing with the 737 ? I was having a look at it at LBA the other day. Its a very smart looking aeroplane.
Nice pics Tartan.
