Bradair's Fury – Bournemouth today

Thanks to the tip-off from planetalk’s ‘XR219’, I arrived at Hurn this morning *just* in time to see the Fury touch down following its flight.
If it hadn’t been for poor traffic on the M27 I would have seen it take-off!

My balance is not the best (dodgy ear), so the fots may be a bit off.
I also forgot to adjust the exposure compensation back to 0 on the Canon D60 following Yeovilton last month. Never mind, I’ll get another go next time…

Debut fot on the ‘new’ Canon 10D!

Thanks to ‘XR219’, Mark and Mark for the company during my visit.
12 red Hawks also arrived at Hurn a bit later; noisy smoky objects they were!

Thanks for looking,
Mark

The Fury also flew over The Great Dorset Steam Fair, did some aeros a few miles away and then flew off. It was a great sight as its been a while since I have seen her in the air. The BBMF also flew over almost in formation with a Chinook!! Any body know where they were off to?

It is indeed a stunning looking aircraft.

Can someone enlighten me on the paint scheme. I see there are Canadian markings underside, RN topside, and something else on the rear fuselage – just curious?

I believe that the colour scheme represents all the nations that used the Sea Fury. The markings are RN, Canadian, Dutch and Australian, I think.
