In the Mail on Sunday reporting the offer, it quotes a ‘BA spokesman’ as saying “Concorde is not for sale” This sounds final and that no one will be allowed to operate it. I wonder what BA’s shareholders will make of this statement. £5M is not to be sneezed at in any company. If Branson can’t make it pay then BA will have been proved correct. On the other hand….

I think he’d be better off offering more but for fewer Concordes-but there’s just no way BA are goijng to let Virgin buy themselves all that instant prestige, are they?
