Breakaway (1956) – film location

100% Blackbushe. There were several filmed there in the 50’s but I am not aware of this one.

Many thanks for the two messages. Another scene shows a building interior, it looks and sounds like a real building, with an Eagle Airways poster and I believe that they were based at Blackbushe too, so everything seems to point Blackbushe as the location.

I would say Blackbushe too. Britavia’s Hermes Division was based there.

The film must have been shot before 5 August 1956 as that was the date on which Britavia Hermes G-ALDK was destroyed landing at the Drigh Road PAF airfield, which the pilot mistook for Karachi’s civil airport.
