Breguet 14T-bis

A few years ago while I was on a Mirage III cross servicing course with the Belgian AF I was given 2 photo albums full of photographs from the 20’s and 30’s. Over the years I have been researching the photo’s and getting the background on the photo’s. However there are a few aircraft which I don’t have all the information on, there’s lots of you out there with info, so how about helping me out. Hopefully this will start a few useful threads. Attached is a Breguet 14T-Bis, ser No. 1950, (I know this, it’s written on the Fin), does anyone out there have any more info on this aircraft, or on the type?

I´m only happy to return a favour, and I still owe You a few.
Looking forward to some more photos.

RE: Breguet 14T-bis

Hi Chister, Nice to hear from you. I must be going daft in my old age, never thought to do a Google search!! I’ll certainly have a look at the sites you’ve found. I thought I’d put some of these old photo’s on anyway, and share them with everyone. There’s lots of highly bent aeroplanes in the albums, and in most of them it appears the pilots walked away from from the crash! I suppose it’s the crumple structure working before the car industry invented it!

RE: Breguet 14T-bis

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-08-02 AT 07:54 PM (GMT)]Hi KeithMac!

I don´t know if You did but, I did a Google search and came up with two russian sites:

http://www.airwar.ru/enc/bww1/br14.html

http://www.cofe.ru/avia/B/B-161.htm

There´s an on-line translator which translates web pages:

http://www.translate.ru/eng/erre.asp

Choose “Web page” and “Russian-English translation”.
It doesn´t get everything right but, I hope it helps.

Regards,
Christer 🙂

A second search, on Breguet only, came up with this:

http://seppe.members.easyspace.com/BREGUE14.HTM

There´s quite a few links in it.
