Nice photos.

Only been to Lowestoft show once. Its ok but the display line is quite a way out I seem to remember. Usually a varied mix of aircraft, military, civil, vintage and modern. It was a scorcher when I went a couple of years ago. I think parking can be a problem though.

Looked like the normal Breighton showmanship to be honest, I’ve often seen the biplanes dancing round those trees and the hangars to the north of the strip. I was similarly impressed by the intimate nature of the action when I first visited, make the big shows seem pretty staid in comparison.

Great pics and a great day out – this show is so great as you are really close to the action. Spoke to many Breighton first timers who were amazed just how near the planes were. Did you get a shot of the Nieuports near colision with the trees Gareth? Bet the pilot had to change his underwear 😮

Prop discs

Gareth – awesome shots particularly P51Suzy – I agree with many about portraying props as discs – either in art or in photography as it gives the subject a much more dynamic sense of movement and realism , the naked eye doesn’t usually capture a prop like most cameras do – ie “Black moustaches”or spikes so its refreshing to see someone actively go out and aim to capture a prop arc as a disc
