Super report, congratulations for the photographs.
I do not want to pass for a purist, but I would prefer to see written Morane D-3801 and not Morane 406…
It is a little as if you confuse Spitfire Mk IX with Mk XVI, they are two different planes and still the differences are less visible between a Spit IX or XVI compared to MS 406 and one D-3801.
I say that because I wrote a whole chapter on Morane D-3801 in a book devoted to Morane MS 406 and derived.;)

The catalina in the photo is not the duxford cat but the french one. The blisters are a give a way.
