Hi everyone, just finished editing a batch of shots from the other evening. Here’s a thread for you guys that think STN is only about Ryanair and Easyjet :diablo: And also a sneak preview for Paul (PMN) for what awaits on our planned evening in June!
These were all taken in an hour and a half, with a Canon 400D + Sigma 50-500mm lense. Unfortunately, just as I got in the car the Germanwings Park Inn c/s arrived, bloody typical! I’ve seen it out the window though the last 3 days in a row, so I can hope to catch it again soon.
I’ve also found a new spot which allows for many angles that were never possible before at Stansted. Enjoy 🙂

Cheers Stu! I’ll do my best to get some ZRH ones up soon, did you have any to show?
Yeah I’ve got some I’ll post up -most of them pretty boring tbh because the haze killed most of the action shots- but I’m only half way through editing them! Too many distractions.;)

Fantastic shots Dan! Looks like you have had some lovely weather down there recently. Sadly the Norwegian and Germanwings logojets eluded me when I was down a few weeks ago.
Interesting to see the orange cone (EI-DLF shot) is still where it is!
Great stuff,
Adam

Excellent shots mate, I like the first Eos.

Sorry Peter, only just noticed your question. As someone mentioned, that spot is a good 2 hours walk from the terminal. There are possibly places a little closer which a taxi could drop you off at, or there is some possiblity that I could help out in the form of lifts, but it would mean having to arrange a specific date.

Thanks very much for all your kind comments people!
As someone mentioned, the Air Contractors is doing the usual DUB-STN-CDG run.
I told you all, Stansted isn’t as bad as the impression given! I was very lucky on that night to catch the Norwegian Silver, the Sky Europe special, the Germanwings special, and very nearly the Germanwings Park Inn!

Whats the Air Contractors A300 flying for?
Presume it’s on their usual ‘ABR1UB’ DUB-STN-CDG (and ‘2UB’ return)

This looks like the same location I went to last month:

If so, it’s at least a 2 hour walk from the terminal!

Looking good! Never knew that STN had nice vantage points. is this place accesible from the terminal? If so, taking a day-trip on Ryanair might be on the cards.

A stunning selection, Dan! Absolutely superb! I’m really looking forward to STN and wherever else we’re going!

Cheers Sam, I usually use 300-500% on the full size image, radius 0.3 threshold 1. Why, is it good or bad?
Terrible Dan! 😉 Only joking – There really nice, sharp and crisp 🙂 That’s why I was asking. May give it ago 😎
