James, Those people were over the other side of the airfield from the museum…I think BOH is pretty awesome for variety, with all the aircraft maintnance companies as well as the Pilatus sales base and of course the classic European 737’s, THO, and RYR aircraft The museum is well worth a look around, with some pretty interesting stuff (BAC1-11 / Herald) and the walkway that takes you through a hanager were they were maintaining the Red Bull Sea Vixen. Also like the Vanguard cockpit set up. Again Bristol is not bad but it can be death by orange sometimes with it being a large Easyjet base, it does get quite a lot of variety but you need to pick your times. The MNG F27s are currently relocated to Filton along with all the other mail flights due to work being carried out on the taxiways at night. It does have a really good resourse for finding out what is going on at the airport so you can plan when to go as well as snapshots of what is on stand (East Apron) at the present time, including to/from, Reg, and a/c type. I don’t know any othwe airport that provides this service.
Check it out here: http://apron.bristolairport.com/ click on the Mayflys and East Apron buttons.

All the best Si

Excellent shots!! May I ask your location on the Bristol one’s. I’ve never been able to get a view like that!! πŸ˜€

The shots of the EIN and EZY’s were taken from the south side of the airfield, you can get to it from the main Airport – Bristol road, take the turn off at the airport inn and carry on past the cargo entrance, there s a turning on the left which takes you past the golf course entrance and up to the parimeter fence which you follow all the way around the threshold of 09 and up on the north side of the runway. The overhead shots were taken at the end of 27 in the field where the approach light are, again easily accesable by road and a little walking. PM me for a more detailed route (can’t remember the village you head towards for the overhead shots).

All the best
