Bristol-Sharm el sheikh

Hello this is my first trip report, so please be gentle:D back in september i went to egypt with my family for 2 weeks to do some sightseeing an generally relax:D sorry no photo’s on this one:(

I woke up at 6am to get ready for our 8am pickup, we did some last minute packing (picked up my sister and her fiancee) and then waited outside for our minibus that would take us from Plymouth to Bristol.

We arrived at Bristol airport at around half past 10, got all our luggage and proceeded to check in. Check in was very light when we got there with 1 other couple in front of us so it was very quick! We then went upstairs to sercurity, got through that ok, after this we went and did a bit of duty free shopping (always good!:D) then had a look at the flight boards to be greeted with DELAYED next to our flight:( We then went and got a drink and waited for the aircraft to arrive. It was delayed by half an hour wich wasnt too bad, we saw it land when we were in the cafe:D. We were then called for boarding.

Monday 8th of september 08

We boarded at around half past 1 and were greeted by the cabin crew, we then went to our leather seats the configeration for the seating was 3-3. We were then told by the captain that the flight time would be 5hrs and 15minutes, so i settled back in my seat and we took off:D

The flight was pretty uneventfull and about 2 hours in to the flight we were offered a meal (chicken or beef) i chose the beef and it was really nice, it was served with rice and green beans, it also came with a desert (pink angel delight stuff) which was ok. There was also a few drink services on the flight i had fanta or pepsi all the time but being an egyptian airline no alcohol was served.

I then listened to my ipod for the rest of the flight up till about 15 minutes prior to landing, The F/O then said that it was 35 degrees in sharm el sheikh (not chilly then:D) and everybody should fasten there seatbelts and prepare for landing.

The approach was bumpy, the captain was keeping the plane straight right till touchdown and then we bounced (twice) when we hit the tarmac (which scared my mum lol), we then taxied to a remote stand, got off the plane and then went to the terminal to go through customs, get our visa’s and collect our baggage.

We did this and then proceeded to enjoy the next 2 weeks of our holiday.:D
