Bristol & Wessex Aeroplane Club livery, C1957

Does anyone have any photos of Bristol & Wessex Aero Club fleet in the ‘uniform’ livery of dark blue upper/light blue lower fuselage, silver wings & tailplane. This was worn by their Austers, (and I believe Tiger Moths?) in the mid ’50s. I am building a scale flying model of an Auster Autocrat, and would like to finish it in authentic B&W colour/markings if possible – I had my first ever flight in one of these for my 9th birthday (don’t know the reg) and have had a weak spot for the type ever since!

Thanks – I’d already contacted the club, but they were unable to help. However, ABPIC was brilliant, and I now have some good reference material.

Just some suggestions for you………. Bristol and Wessex Aero club still exists, it might be worth approaching them. Try the Auster Club. Also take a look through ABPIC.
