Britannia Express?

Hi,
I just read on the news ticker on Skyliner this message:

Britannia goes Express from spring 2004_

What does it mean by Britannia goes Express?

Thanks

You’re right T5. The only thing that sets BY apart from No Frills carriers is the IFE and the free headphones that you get. Apart from that I struggle to think of anything else.

I thought Britannia was pretty much no-frills already. đŸ™‚

Hi,
By bringing down the service of BY I was refering to this statment:

At the same time some parts of the service and business concept on the current network will be changed to no-frills standard.

Thanks

It’s not going to be exceptional service at such small prices. But as for bringing down the parent airline, I can’t see that happening. “Go”, now easyJet, never caused any harm to British Airways when it was set up, nor has bmiBaby affected BMI British Midland in any way.

It does say more… you have to click on the headline…:

Britannia will start Low Cost flights from next spring to European capitals competing with Ryanair, easyJet and others. At the same time some parts of the service and business concept on the current network will be changed to no-frills standard. Britannia´s fleet is to be increased by two Boeing 737-800s to 34 planes.
Hoping to build on travel volumes resulting from low fares, the management has devised a user-friendly system for booking tickets which will be based on the HLX-System. Whether the new branch will be named Britannia Express has not been confirmed yet.
