British 1957 ‘White Paper’

I do not know if this topic belongs here?
But here we go!

We have all heard of the clown Mr. Duncan Sandy – The British ‘Minister for Defence’.

For those who do not know him, he was the Einstein that at the stroke of a pen, destroy the British military aviation industry, with his 1957 ‘White Paper’.
He stated that in this ‘White Paper’ –
It was unlikely to require any more fighters or bombers.
For missiles would do the job of manned aircraft.

My quest is for:
– an actual transcript of this famous quote
– A copy of this 1957 ‘White Paper’ (or what it entailed)
– Is this man still alive?
– Did he ever serve in the military????????
– What weapon systems was his ‘White Paper’ responsible for killing, to the detriment of both the British military and Defence industry?
