British Eagle Britannia 22 01 66?

Was driving late yesterday pm and Radio 2 was on – couldn’t jot down the details so this is all I can remember!
A listener had contacted the show, he had been captain of a British Eagle Brit that had made a record/first(?) flight across the south Atlantic (west to east) 0n 22nd January 1966(?).
He wanted to contact any other members of the crew (although I think it was said the Navigator had died).
Perhaps anyone with information and the inclination to help might contact the Ed Stewart Show at Radio 2.
