I appologise if this one has already feature over the past few months, but…..
If you want to see loads of old clips (colour, B&W, with/without sound) have a looksee at
Try searching on aircraft/airfield names, etc.
lyneham
comet
vulcan
javelin
meteor
comes up with some good results.
The preview quality which is free isn’t too bad, but if you want better quality downloads it can get very expensive.
Toodle pip!!

Ps. If anyone finds anything of note amongst the clips – let us know.

There’s some nice footage of Lancaster NX611 flying in the 60’s, also with some Dams pilots reminiscing in her cockpit, as well as the ‘100th’ op celebrations at Waddington for Hendon’s ‘Sugar’, as well as assorted bits and bobs with the BBMF Lanc in it’s very, very early days at various celebratory events, as well as loads more wartime bomber stuff! 😀

Top stuff indeed.
Timpsons are another good bunch. I approached them for a couple of engraved plaques for my memorial to Johnny Wiseman and Babe Haddon. Didn’t cost me a penny for two 12″x8″ engraved brass plaques – stunning ones – that should have been £770.
Thanks Timpsons.

Pathe News
I can not praise Pathe News enough, they recently sent me a copy of the footage showing the Westland Whirlwind at Angle in South Wales.
I informed them it was for the daughter of one of the pilots who was killed flying the aircraft. Pathe didn’t charge me a penny.
Great to know in the modern world there are still people willing to help with no thought of profit.
