British troops are porkers…too fat to fight

nowadays …when I were a lad,shops had closing times and Petrol Stations sold car fuel and not much else…we were (mostly) very skinny and always outdoors .

I’ll see that and raise you half day closing on Thursdays…. I remember that well and I’m (only) 43.

In response to the original post, the soldiers I’ve seen marching at the welcome home parades seem to look Ok and fit enough. Tabloid tale, no more, no less…

When Chamberlain made his famous radio broadcast that Sunday morning his mum was washing him in a tin bath on the table and when she heard those fateful words she had a panic attack and bath, child, et al ended up on the stone kitchen floor.

We all suffer from the well known medical condition where our Mouth is bigger than our a55*ole 😀
but seriously there is too much tempting cr@p around to eat nowadays …when I were a lad,shops had closing times and Petrol Stations sold car fuel and not much else…we were (mostly) very skinny and always outdoors .
Now some shops never close and some garages are almost wall to wall chocolate etc – I have seen what some of the youngsters eat (and drink),if something doesn’t change – how many will make old bones ??
