Bronco's at Duxford

Hi Chaps,

The Bronco’s at Dx seem to be moved around a fair bit, but are they airworthy, and do they every fly?

Thanks,

DS

Interstingly, Invicta Aviation have 2 OV-10B BRONCO’s registered in the UK. G-BZGL and G-BZGK.

If these are the 2 at Duxford, then G-BZGK was put in a hangar today. Leaving G-BZGL out on it’s own.

I’m pretty sure i saw an ex german Bronco display at North Weald in 199eightish, with a UK civil reggie near the tail. I have also been aware of that distict shape in the sky more than once, was it different to the DX based ones?

The Duxford Bronco (owned by Invicta Aviation) have only flown on their ferry-flight from Germany to England. That was their last flight since.

The owner told me that he has already done some fast taxi runs during September and just needs to do a little more paperwork before the first flight.
The restoration of the other one will start by the end of this year.

The Bronco you saw at NW was probably F-AZKM, this is currently the only airworthy Bronco in Europe

I thought they flew when they first arrived here [flew as in displayed not just a ferry flight].

When i was there the other week one of them was doing fast taxi runs and engine checks down the runway so maybe they will fly one.

One of them is potentially airworthy, but as I understand there is still some paperwork needed.
So both of them haven’t flown anymore since they arrived.
