Brooklands Aviation

Delighted to hear that Brooklands School of Flying is restarting operations as the main flying school at Sywell.

Couldn’t resist posting these two pictures taken at Woburn of DH60M G-AAHY in the original school colours, plus one of the Delta Aviation Tiger, G-AGPK that carries the colours too.

(I don’t know who took this shot of ‘PK over Pitsford Lake, but it’s so good I can’t help but share it. My apologies and complements combined to whoever got the shot!).

Anyone got any original shots from Brooklands’ Moth days? TT, you must have some, the rumour is that you’ve even still got a pre-war decal!

No, I haven’t received my FOSA magazine…yet…

I’m back up there in the next couple of days, so I’m sure I’ll get a copy.

Yes, the Luton does occaisionally haunt the petrol pumps there, but they always look so disappointed when a tankful only costs £20. We calculated a Yak ticking over behind me the other week had burned more than I put in!

Wow, that Tiger over the lake shot would make a cracking poster, or magazine cover
