Brooklands Museum on Sunday 15th Jan

Had a nice day out in ‘not so sunny’ Surrey on Sunday. The VSCC were holding there annual Driving Tests in the Museum grounds. Great to see cars on the banking and up the Test hill. 🙂

The last time I was there (a year ago) Concorde was just a collection of parts scattered around the site, but now she is substantially complete and was proving a hit with the crowds, especially the children, as she was open for inspection.

I think this is the Hunter that came from Wycombe Air Park in the summer, waiting it’s turn.

It was grey and damp all day, but the sun did come about for about five minutes late in the day just as I was walking past the Varsity 🙂

Finally a couple of classics….or one classic and a piece of a classic…

I never realised it was possible to take concorde into that many bits.

its not!

but seriously if you close to Brooklands, pop in an see Concorde over the next few months, as when we get to the summer you will lose the change to see under the skin, so to speak, as the cabins all start to get fitted out.

Intakes were re-fitted on Tues 24th Jan.

Great shots!

When I was there last year the concorde was, as you said, lying all over the place in peaces.

The museum contains some wonderful aircraft that you wouldn’t see anywhere else.

When I was there, there was a Mini Cooper meeting as well 😀

Hi Kilvy,
Great photo’s. 🙂
The Hunter is indeed the one from Wycombe Air Park, it was sat at the entrance gate, but unfortunately it leaves behind a rather lonely looking Lightning.
Regards.
