Its not been brilliant in the past for aerojumbles, but any aerojumble event is always worth a mention.
On the 27th July 2014, Brooklands museum is holding a Retrojumble. This includes the traditional auto / Aerojumble alongside vintage and retro gifts, clothing, literature, photos, art, models, badges, tools etc hence the name of Retrojumble no doubt.
Although it has had criticism in the past for lack of aero items my philosophy is that you never know what may turn up. Brooklands seem a bit more proactive this year I have received a mail shot from them asking to attend as an exhibitor having last attended some 2-3 years ago.
Hope it’s a success for them, good museum to stroll around if things get quiet. Will probably attend as a buyer if its a nice sunny day.

I think the ‘new’ nose section is G-AZLP, formerly a cabin smoke trainer at Teeside Airport.

A nice day out yesterday, good location, great BBQ tent, lots of stalls but as expected not many aerojumble stalls, possibly a handful counting those that also sell books and models. Purchased a brake lever for my Beaufort yoke which
made the trip worth while. Haven’t been to this museum for a couple of years, nice to see that they opened up the British Airways VC10 for inspection and the museum seemed to have acquired another Viscount cockpit (anyone know where this one came from?) this makes a total of 2 Viscount cockpits and a also a full example, the apron at Brooklands consisting of 2 x VC10’s , 3 x Viscounts, 1 x Vanguard, 1 x BAC 1-11, 1 x Viking reminded me of the apron at Manchester airport in the 70’s. Good memories!

It’s not too far for me, the past couple have been OK, as you say the museum is always worth it.
The Cobham Bus Museum on the site is well worth a look too. Even if you aren’t interested in buses is an example of what can be done.
