Morning all,
Popped into Brooklands yesterday for the 1st time. I bet not many knew it was FREE ADMISSION for one day only. :p Something to do with using the location as a Polling Station.
Anyway wandering round as you do, i came across the lump of “Ali” as shown in the picture below. Can anyone tell me if this is the same “lump” I last saw at Southend some 30 years ago, fixed to a MNA Indonesian Airlines Vanguard?

Yes indeed, this is the tail from a Merpati Nusantara Airlines Vanguard in the delivery scheme as per this photo. Not sure which one though, possibly PK-MVW ( c/n 728) that was bought back early by Air Holdings for spares at Southend in 1972.
