Did anyone get pics of the lightning taxi run where her nose was raised hig?
I read on another forum that the Victor was able to run all 4 engines by borrowing a starter motor from Cosford. Why wopuldnt cosford let them exchange a us one for a useable one and let the voctor team keep the useable one instead of having to return it after the taxi day?

I have the greatest admiration for what I assume is the 18′ span Vulcan, but it doesn’t look quite right to me. I can’t work out what it is but I can see it’s a model straight away.
The similar size Victor looks spot-on.

Colour scheme is way off, cockpit looks too raised, tail wrong shape. Wouldn’t mind one myself though! :p

Yep thats her – her elevator is ready to put on – we just havent fitted it yet – it one piece and abut 8 ft long!

She’s coming on well….engines running six months – once we’ve worked our way thru the 14ft long wiring diagram 🙂

Is your Beech the one that was at Brunty late last year? (See pictures), If so, very nice paint job and nose art!

Was very impressed with the Beech, cant wait to see it flying (and hopefully sounding like two Harvards in very close formation!!) 😮

Yes, and the model cars and people stood in front of her were quite well done too.

😀 😀

Seriously, yes, there is something not quite right about the entire nose section.

Very nice shot of XH558

Thank you Sir.

Straight off the camera – merely squashed and compressed. No clarification or fade correction or anything else.

Anyone see our Beech?

The one without elevators?

Did indeed, you wheeled her right past us as we waited patiently in our cars to gain entrance. Resplendant she looked.

Anyone notice that it’s Star Wars Day today? 😮

May the forth be with you!!!!

Looks like I’ll be making another long trip early September – 4th Duxford, then 5th Brunty. Cool 🙂 I must get some deeper pockets!

The Comet was running and seemed in good health. Plus a miniature version appeared next to the model Vulcan, still in bare balsa wood but looking very impressive!

How do they insure the aircraft that partcipate in the show? Are the owners responsible for getting their liability insurance or is it acquired via the organizers at Brunty?

Was the DH Comet active?

Peter, the Victor did indeed taxi, all four engines on song. Some of you may have seen number three engine wet start, Victor with reheat, excellent!!!!
