Are the wires not numbered?
.

Hi Toney
Unfortunatley there is a chunk of the loom missing… so I can’t trace them as they go all over the airframe… that’s why I need the charts to give some idea which area I’m supposed to be searching in…

I should imagine its the ex Spanhoe machine that is likely to be exported.

Only two now – one is in the process of, or has been, exported.

Carrying on with this digression, I see from the “standard reference work” that there are actually three examples in the UK and with relatively recent arrival dates. Does anyone know how readily available F-104s are? (No, I don’t want one, I haven’t got anywhere to put it). I feel that it is a piece of engineering that merits wider display.

Surely, unlike a currently much discussed type, the F-104 is a type worthy of a larger number in preservation.;) It also harks back to the days when aircraft displays involved long fast runs right down the runway rather than the tight circles within the airfield you tend to get today.

A bit off topic here but I never though it would fly with so short stubby wings!

I agree; a F104 is merely a rocket with mudguards…. 🙂
