Brunty's Jag

Why is Brunty’s Jaguar painted all-over green? Not even a nice shade either.

I wasn’t there but I believe a friend of mine, former F3 and SR2 Sportscar racer Martin O’Connell, did paint testing at Mallory Park for Jaguar some years ago – ie driving round getting the paint photographed. Seems a complete waste of talent, time and fossil fuel to me.

Sorry that’s a bit off thread for an aviation forum..

Bring back British Racing Green!!!

😀 they tried, when the first ‘Jagur F1 Cars’ were tested they painted them in a traditional British Racing Green but on the TV screens they looked Black! So this bright colour has been dubbed Jaguar Racing Green!

Yeah it’s the same colour as the F1 cars and the XKR in ‘Die Another Day’, probably the worst Bond film ever! XK’s have to be among my favourite cars Roger but I wouldn’t say looking good in any colour, the solid red ones look like an airfix kit gone wrong! The link is to a pic of the Die Another Day XKR

I believe the Green applied is the Same Green Jaguar used on the F1 Cars and also on the XKR that appeared in the recent James Bond film (cant remember what it was called 😮 )

Its a bit of a ‘loud’ colour so cant imagine what it must look like on a ‘real’ Jag!

Apparently it’s for some sort of Jaguar cars event their having at Brunty, it’s in ‘Jaguar Green’, only seen it on a couple of Jag XK8’s before and doesn’t look too nice
